Mark
I’m Mark MD/gardner, builder, designer, and ‘odd jobber’ here at Walnut Barn Estate. I’ve built and designed everything you see at WBE.
What I love about WBE: I wanted to create somewhere people could really enjoy themselves, and that would become part of the Orchard family’s legacy. I love meeting guests and seeing them leave smiling (even though they think I’m the groundsman).
Fun Fact: I’m happiest when I’m out on the slopes, at a festival, or living life with good people, and like any good West Country man, preferably with a cold cider in hand.
James
Hi, I’m James. I’m a farmer, builder, and a bit of an ‘everything man’ here at Walnut Barn Estate. I’m also a father of two little girls and am on the go 24/7!
What I love about WBE: I’ve grown up on the farm and love being out in the fields, starting new building projects, and getting my hands dirty. I take a lot of pride in my home-reared livestock and am out gathering fresh eggs daily.
Fun Fact: When I was younger, I was invited to join the junior clay pigeon team representing GB in the Olympics.
Sharon
I’m Sharon, the manager here at Walnut Barn Estate. I love the changing seasons and the unique charm each one brings to the estate.
What I love about WBE: Welcoming guests is one of the best parts of my role, and I take great pleasure in showcasing the beautiful accommodation that our dedicated team works so hard to prepare.
Fun Fact: I make the best roast potatoes and a mean Margarita!
Stacey
Hey, I’m Stacey, head of housekeeping. I’m friendly, outgoing, and love meeting new people. I’m also a proud mum to three, which keeps life busy, fun, and full of energy!
What I love about WBE: What I love most about Walnut Barn Estate is the calm and tranquil setting, the open space, and the beautiful view from the viewing platform.
Fun Fact: I recently took on the challenge of running 31 miles for charity!
Charlotte
My name’s Charlotte, and I work in housekeeping here at Walnut Barn Estate.
What I love about WBE: I love working at Walnut Barn Estate because it’s such a calm and relaxing environment.
Fun Fact: I have 2 horses, 3 dogs and love riding my horse around the local countryside. In my spare time, I also train my youngest dog, as he is becoming an assistance dog.
Claire
Hi, I’m Claire. I’m a bit of a chatterbox and love chatting to guests about their adventures.
What I love about WBE: My favourite time on the farm is lambing season, especially if we have a lamb that needs a bottle feeding.
Fun Fact: On a Friday evening, you’ll find me being a social butterfly in our lovely local pub, the Old Inn. I love skiing, even though I spend more time on my bum than on my feet!
Mia
Hi, my name’s Mia. I am part of the housekeeping team at Walnut Barn Estate.
What I love about WBE: My favourite things about Walnut Barn are being out in the countryside and the farm animals (especially the sheep during lambing season).
Fun Fact: I’m studying to be a veterinary nurse! I love working with the team at Walnut Barn as everybody is so lovely.
Marjorie
I’m Marjorie. I work in housekeeping and love being part of a team that helps create special memories for our guests.
What I love about WBE: What I love most about Walnut Barn Estate is the peaceful atmosphere and the amazing people I get to work with every day.
Fun Fact: I absolutely love driving the buggy around the estate and nothing beats a cold cider on a sunny Sunday after a good day’s work!
Rachael
I’m Rachael, a housekeeper at Walnut Barn Estate. I’m an outgoing, ocean-loving, sun worshipper who loves adventures with my daughter and dog!
What I love about WBE: I am still new to Walnut Barn Estate, but I love the quick pace and variety the job brings.
Fun Fact: I am a thalassophile and love being in or next to the ocean.
Gina
I’m Gina, one of the housekeepers at Walnut Barn. I love the outdoors and walks with the family. I’m a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to making things look nice.
What I love about WBE: I love the beautiful surroundings and serenity of Walnut Barn.
Fun Fact: I love having a little dance around the kitchen with my husband and two boys.
